Conservative as in contrary to progress and a return to older ideologies.
Wonder why conservatives are all neoliberal tho? Wonder why history in their books goes back to a certain time and no further?
Ah, yes, all those "Neoliberals" on Hexbear telling people "both sides are bad" and promoting Donald Trump and AfD.
Aren't slrpnk users supposed to be anarchists? Doesn't that basically make you libertarians as far as modern policy is concerned?
Anarchists are not libertarians, at least not insofar as Americans understand libertarianism. The so-called Libertarian US party is right-libertarian. Anarchists are left-libertarian. Little-L libertarianism in this case refers to the opposite of authoritarianism.
But not all punks are anarchists anyway.
Neoliberalism however is an economic policy based on the renewal of classical liberalism and free market capitalism. It is a conservative ideology, shared by many Republicans and Democrats alike. Republicanism is based on classical liberalism.
In theory Anarchists aren't Libertarians, but in practice? They seem to have exactly the same stances: weaken government, deregulate.
