Sorry, should have been more clear. Private data, like os, screen resolution, headphones etc.. basically all that shit we saw in that screenshot a few days ago
They couldn’t get any of that information through a federated instance. If they federated, you wouldn’t interact with them, your instance would.

Only way for them to get that data is by you downloading their proprietary app. When it comes to the content you post here its all public and you can't prevent them from seeing it.
