Ada you are our queen (lemmy.blahaj.zone)

Don't let those shitheels from hexbear get you down. I joined in the 196wave but I've stayed because blahaj is the safe trans affirming space I need right now, and from what I've seen you've been a key voice in making that happen. Thank you for all the hard work you do!

Oh yeah, there's a lot of good shit in knowing your country won't get invaded by it's neighbors.

Or knowing that you can invade Libya in a pinch.

They went into Libya due to the Libyan civil war and Gaddafi's attacks on civilians which were crimes against humanity.

Did it go well? Not so much in the aftermath. They did succeed in removing the dictator that was committing crimes against humanity. But it went poorly after that likely due to the new Libyan government asking for NATO to stay in the country for a few more months to help them establish their government, but NATO left a week after the death of Gaddafi instead due to the UN security council voting for them to leave the country by the end of October (11 days after Gaddafi's death).

Could it have been handled better? Probably.

But is it fully a condemnable action? No.

Oopsie. Well I guess that's why pencils have erasers. As long as we've learned our lesson about funneling massive amounts of money and arms to questionable militias, we should be fine.
