MODERATORS
To be fair, lots of things exist that we can't see. Radio waves, nuclear radiation, DNA, my hope for my future, etc.
We can measure these things as a civilisation of course, but as individuals most of us will never have the equipment or know-how, and instead rely on being told these things we can't see are real and are the cause of X or Y that we observe in life.
I'm with you though this is very stupid, yeah.
