The "blue wall" didn't hold lmfao
I don't think Trump's victory is deserved, kinda wild to see this incompetent man win the presidency for the second time and after making huge mistakes like picking Vance as VP. But I do think Harris' defeat is indeed deserved, they deserved to be crushed because they fucked around too much and became grotesquely arrogant. If anything, the first woman president of the US shouldn't have been this piece of shit loser who failed her way to the top and the Democrats forced everyone to like because they refused to pressure Biden to step down earlier and then refused to hold primaries.
Serves them right.
Now I beg you, organize. And when you think you're done organizing, organize some more. And when that is enough, no it isn't, more organization is needed. In times of extreme polarization, organization becomes desirable and mandatory.
Hasan called out a chatter on his stream who said "Now the left is really going to have to organize", and I think that single comment is probably the best argument in support of why Trump is actually better for the left to organize under than any Democrat (I voted for Cruz). All these progressives just spent he last 4 years at brunch and though they could cruise control their way to not having to do anything. A lot of people needed a wakeup call.
I saw some organizing Signal groups which I was tangentially involved with spring to life today when they haven't had a single message in them for years.
Honestly I don't think Vance as VP was a mistake, I actually think Waltz as VP was a mistake by the Harris campaign considering they were running some Republican lite campaign, there's many VP candidates better for such a campaign. While Waltz had the initial momentum on his side with the jokes and Vance's awkwardness, this quickly fell to the wayside after the VP debate. In that debate, Vance beat Waltz convincingly, which started Harris' downturn in the polls. The first domino to fall, so to speak. Waltz fumbled the bag hard during that debate, which began the shift of momentum from Harris to Trump.
Counterpoint: the entire election was a referendum on "is Trump cool?"
VPs never really matter unless it's Cheney or HW being shadow presidents
