put all of your election posting here so it doesn't bother anyone else!

from @CoolerOpposide@hexbear.net:

For Agitprop purposes, I’m asking comrades to help aggregate any and all effortpost responses, critiques, or general thoughts that you have seen or written pertaining to yesterday’s U.S. election that you think have standalone value for discussion either online or IRL.

I made a post for that purpose here, and ideally it can be used not only for general discussion, but as a reference for well thought out responses in discussions about the election to save all of us some brainpower.

No shitposts please, as we’d like to highlight some comrades’ actual effort in constructing responses or analysis, but humor is 100% welcome to help make your point!

The betting odds aggregators currently have Trump at 56% chance to win, Harris at 43%.

Trump is probably gonna take the win, and liberals everywhere will go on overdrive scapegoating russia, the green party, and muslim americans.

We'll see A LOT of meltdown posts, then after a month or so, liberals will start to point fingers at themselves and start shitfights with each other, and also act like they supported Palestine all along. Nothing breeds dissent like defeat.

Idk if betting odds aggregators are a reliable signal. Betting bros are far more likely to be right wing IMO.

True, but they get less partial when their money's involved. In 2016 they gave Clinton an 80% over Trump's 20, and like all the polls too, guessed that one very wrong.

It's generally much more reliable than polling tho: https://electionbettingodds.com/TrackRecord.html

This is the result I most hope for, and these odds bring me a glimmer of...well, to call it "optimism" when we're so many levels buried in shit would require a litany of qualifications, but you know what I mean. Genocide MUST be punished, and even though as peons our individual means of punishing the party are miniscule, that doesn't absolve us of the duty to exercise them.

Agree, the liberals should absolutely have to pay for this

You can see where history ended and then began again.

Even Reagan and Bush had things to say about Israeli genocide. Not even remotely enough, obviously, but something.

liberals will start to point fingers at themselves

Nah they'll point fingers at leftists, poor people, anyone who dared not vote, anyone who dared vote third party and anyone who dared complain about the democrats. Then they'll laugh when news of oppression of minorities are published, even though these things also happened under dems. Then they'll go to a protest waving a witty sign saying something fun about abortion.

How dare KHAMAS interfere with elections like this!!!

I'd rather see them waving the "witty" signs about abortion than doing nothing at all though, TBH. Maybe they'll work themselves up into eventually joining us to shut airports down again or something.
