Trying to prep myself for when they foxify all social media platforms.

Edit: you all better be careful saying you don't see any of it. Leon might catch wind.

I'm on Mbin, but I don't disagree with you: Lemmy is awesome!

Again, I have to agree.

You can, but you'd be wrong.

[-] rickyrigatoni@lemm.ee 12 points 1 month ago

Sometimes this feels like antisocial media.

[-] FartsWithAnAccent@fedia.io 4 points 1 month ago

It's pretty much just a forum with voting.

[-] OpenStars@discuss.online 3 points 1 month ago

That's what blocking is for:-)

[-] FartsWithAnAccent@fedia.io 2 points 1 month ago

Is that what a block party is? I've heard legends of them.

[-] OpenStars@discuss.online 1 points 1 month ago

Yes they is precisely it. Not to be confused with a Lego party (of blocks), or a Minecraft blocky party.

I said I reduced mine, not eliminated.

[-] FartsWithAnAccent@fedia.io 4 points 1 month ago

Fair enough. Fediverse is just better anyways IMO, barely counts as social media lol

[-] tyler@programming.dev -2 points 1 month ago

Lemmy isn’t social media. If you’re defining forums as social media then literally and comment section on any website, including blogs and news sites somehow become social media. I don’t know how people started thinking forums are social media but it’s just plain incorrect.

[-] FartsWithAnAccent@fedia.io 5 points 1 month ago

Forums and comments sections are 100% social media, you are mistaken there. I guess we'll just have to argue back and forth ad nauseam or something

Your logic means literally every website on the planet with any sort of text input is social media. It’s literally an insane take.

Counter counter retort. Just stop replying if you’re not going to participate in the discussion.
