It's the dunk tank.
This is where you come to post big-brained hot takes by chuds, libs, or even fellow leftists, and tear them to itty-bitty pieces with precision dunkstrikes.
Rule 1: All posts must include links to the subject matter, and no identifying information should be redacted.
Rule 2: If your source is a reactionary website, please use archive.is instead of linking directly.
Rule 3: No sectarianism.
Rule 4: TERF/SWERFs Not Welcome
Rule 5: No ableism of any kind (that includes stuff like libt*rd)
Rule 6: Do not post fellow hexbears.
Rule 7: Do not individually target other instances' admins or moderators.
Rule 8: The subject of a post cannot be low hanging fruit, that is comments/posts made by a private person that have low amount of upvotes/likes/views. Comments/Posts made on other instances that are accessible from hexbear are an exception to this. Posts that do not meet this requirement can be posted to !shitreactionariessay@lemmygrad.ml
Rule 9: if you post ironic rage bait im going to make a personal visit to your house to make sure you never make this mistake again
Bloody hell the fucking irony of .world and .ee here:
but
Isn't .ee is one of the only big instances that federates with hexbear?
I don't know about it much, but possible, considering a lot of trolls come from there to shittalk us and hex.
Yeah I think the admins of hexbear like sunaurus (owner of .ee) which has let us stay federated despite the general population of .ee being hostile. At least now it's easier for users to block instances individually
I'm kind of a lib temperamentally and hexbear's emoji heavy posting style grates on my nerves with too high exposure, but I do try to debunk the flat out lies people say spout on .world and such
In Hexbear's defense the emojis are almost like a competition for people to find the most esoteric but still relevant one in the hundreds of images.
I won't share an image emoji but o7 to you
I'm here all the time but am too old to be licensed for anything more advanced than emoticons :/ I do think the emojis are often cool when used in moderation (the extreme is I few times I've seen comments that are just one emoji that work perfectly), but there are a few users who use them as punctuation and when you start to get a longer comment written in that style it borders on unreadable to me and I give up very quickly.
be nice!
We're all silly here.
Everyone knows who you're talking about.
I don't know which users I mean! The way I interact with hexbear is I see a rotating cast of usernames that are almost completely indistinguishable, there's users who just joined and are about to get banned, there's me, and then there's Dirt Owl who talks about piss.
Pretty much, I think it was .world that pre-emptively defederated from Hexbear and I see them lumping lemm.ee into the "crazy tankies" categories now because they also blocked lemmygrad.
