After we wrote and voted on ideas what possible updated rules should look like, I compiled the result into a new ruleset, which comes into effect immediately.
Please be aware that these rules are not final and always up to be debated. So if you think something should be adjusted, feel free to bring it up.

Below you will find the new description and rules together with a justification for each one:

Description:
General community for everything furry-related (discussions, texts, art, your own work, …)!
No matter if you have one or multiple fursonas (animal-based or not) or are just here to enjoy the artworks, all are welcome and respected here.
-> This community is intended for all kinds of content and made for and by all members of this community. There should be no gatekeeping and we want to keep it wholesome.

Rules: \

1. Don’t be an asshole. While disagreements are normal in a discussions, personal attacks and harassment are going to be removed.
   -> A rule to justify removals and bans for harassment, spamming, ... . While it is prone to be judged subjectively I will keep modding minimal and only remove harmful content. Everything else might get a "warning" comment from me.
   If someone feels harassed or otherwise made uncomfortable by another user, please let me know via PM.
2. Mark NSFW posts accordingly. Porn and nudity must not be posted here (we have dedicated communities for this kind of content).
   -> While this community allows lewd images, nudity and more is not allowed. CheetahHybrid manages a handful of communities where this content is welcome.
3. When posting artwork, cite the source and name the author. If possible with links to their socials. If the original source is unknown, at least link to the source where you got the image from.
   -> Crediting the artist is important, so please do it. The more the better, but the bare minimum is to link to a source where interested users can find more about the artist.
4. AI content is not welcome.
   -> Community consensus.
   1. You can still post discussions about it if the topic is something you consider important for the community.
      -> A loophole I left open to prevent overblocking. Intended for posts like "Hey, look at this generated image, how can we see that it is AI?" (the image should be in the body and not as the post-image) or "Something noteworthy related to AI in context of Furries".
   2. If you think something is AI, point it out (comment + report); but don't accuse someone of slopposting without a valid reason.
      -> Mistakes can happen, on both sides. Someone could have posted a generated image without recognizing it; in this case you should point out why you think it is AI. An other possibility is that you misjudged, so please stay polite when pointing out your suspicion.
5. Instance-rules of pawb.social apply.
   -> We are on pawb.social, so the admins rules must be followed.
6. Don’t bring us in legal trouble.
   -> Kind of a catch-all to remove content which is illegal in most jurisdictions.

PS.: If someone want to draw or knows someone for commissions for an icon or banner, we can have another vote.
