I'd say the trap is believing that Mozilla is actually on your side when it comes to AI in Firefox. It isn't - they are trying to get you to cosign their theft of the commons by tricking you into thinking it is all "good".

I could use a primer on Lemmy, since frankly I don't know the culture all that much. If you have a pointer to something in mind, I'd appreciate it.

It's annoying to have to create a new account since federation from mbin to Lemmy doesn't seem to work across many instances. That and adding a thumbnail to many Lemmy communities simply strips the shared link.

I don't get why this is your problem. Do you run these communities?
