It's annoying to have to create a new account since federation from mbin to Lemmy doesn't seem to work across many instances. That and adding a thumbnail to many Lemmy communities simply strips the shared link.
I don't get why this is your problem. Do you run these communities?
I'd say the trap is believing that Mozilla is actually on your side when it comes to AI in Firefox. It isn't - they are trying to get you to cosign their theft of the commons by tricking you into thinking it is all "good".
