Thanks. This is more along the lines of what I'm interested in.

A custom made board for this increases the difficulty and size of this operation by a lot.

Sometimes the police from the USA go to Europe to learn how to handle these situations without murder. And European police sometimes go to the USA to learn how to handle gun situations.

This would not have happened anywhere outside of the USA, not even in dangerous countries. Just my 2c

I know protecting the public is not technically their job

It literally is the main job.

Not sure that falls under "intercepted"

How would this message trigger the explosive?

Taking control of a shipping container, opening all of pagers and adding some explosives is obvious and not too hard for people with that power.

Replacing all the chips, or hacking their firmware, is different, and is what I'm asking about.

Most bombs that use a phone as the trigger use the speaker for example. But in these pagers that would have already set off loads.

Well yes but then you'd have to send all those messages, not too hard for a big organisation, but to make a specific message trigger it you would have to do something to the chips on it. And that's what I'm wondering.

I wonder about the technical part of this.

Was it timer based?

Was it based upon which number sent a message?

A lot of the ideas I have would require a huge technical operation, instead of the "just added explosives" angle.

His commander should kick his ass, report him for endangerment, and then throw him out of the police station like in the movies when somebody gets thrown out of a saloon.

You are spot on. The CDN simply has authentication functionality. (Or the app generates a temporary CDN URL that you'll use)

Odysee is actually doing amazing. The interface is great and the speed is even better than Youtube at the moment.

They are however swithing their core structure from one blockchain powered storage model to another one, so at the moment it's a bit guesswork and could possibly turn out very bad. (ArWeave bought them...)

Regarding the far right content on the platform; yes, there is a bit of it, but I have only once come across it, and I was actually browsing some categories relating to politics. So in normal usage, following content creators and checking what Odysee is featuring, you'll not come across them. But even if you do, Odysee's block/mute functionality works better than the one on YouTube.
