If that’s what they meant, there would have been a comma after “Control developer” I believe.

Why was it not a red?

Aaron Wan-Bissaka has left Manchester United to join West Ham United on a permanent transfer.

The right-back signed from Crystal Palace in June 2019 and went on to play 190 games for the Reds.

Wan-Bissaka, who became known for his tenacity in the tackle and impressive one-on-one defending, made his United debut in August 2019, helping Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side to an impressive 4-0 victory over Chelsea.

He was a key member of Solskjaer’s squad which finished third and qualified for the Champions League later that season, and also played 54 times in all competitions the following term, as we came second in the top-flight and reached the Europa League final, losing to Villarreal on penalties.

Aaron scored two goals during his United career, against Newcastle United and Southampton, with both strikes coming in that 2020/21 season.

Injuries and competition with Diogo Dalot for the right-back slot reduced Wan-Bissaka’s appearances in the following campaigns, although he produced an impressive showing as a substitute against Newcastle in the 2023 Carabao Cup final, keeping the Magpies at bay en route to his first piece of silverware with the club.

He started the FA Cup final later that year, as United were beaten by Manchester City at Wembley, but the repeat derby 12 months on was a much happier occasion.

Wan-Bissaka was one of the Reds’ best performers on the day, largely reducing the influence of Phil Foden and Jeremy Doku to help ensure we lifted the famous old trophy for the 13th time.

That was Aaron’s final competitive appearance for United, as he now moves on to pastures new in London, joining the Hammers in their first campaign under recently appointed head coach Julen Lopetegui.

Everyone at United would like to thank Aaron for his contributions to the club and we wish him all the best for the future.

(Potentially) SOLVED: I disabled both Steam Overlay and controller Steam Input, and now it somehow works. Strangely, I believe they were both disabled to begin with and I tried enabling one at a time, then both, and nothing worked. I wanted to test individual settings again so I turned both off and suddenly it recognizes my controller (DualShock 4)

I haven't played 1.6 but I'm sure I played 1.5 with this setup a while back and the controller was working. Now my Mac recognizes the controller (and I can use in Steam's big picture mode) but the game doesn't.

What I've tried:

  • Started the game through Big Picture mode using my controller, and tried without Big Picture mode
  • Uninstalled SMAPI and any mods
  • Restarted my Mac
  • Enabled/Disabled Steam Input in controller settings

Anyone have any experience getting it to work?

NOTE: Just tried with DualSense/PS5 controller and having the same issue. The game doesn't seem to recognize the controller

I haven’t used Spotify in years but back then I was getting annoyed at their recommendations/generated playlists. Instead of new music I liked they just create 4 playlists of music I already have in my own playlists or music I don’t like at all and not even similar to music I listen to. I tried Apple Music for free because of a device purchase and their generated playlists actually gave me new music that I liked. Haven’t looked back since

They’re just stopping development of the Pro to focus on the cheaper model so not necessarily abandoned

Nicely toned is probably ideal. But I prefer skinny than overly muscular like body builders. Tall and skinny or lanky was pretty much my type especially when I was younger. Now my husband has a bit of fat around the belly and I love that too.

Hi all! I mentioned in the last weekly that I think it might be good for us to move to monthly threads. This one was created manually but I've adjusted the auto-scheduler to post on the first of every month starting in March.

My hope is by giving the threads a longer lifetime, they'll get more engagement rather than mostly no posts and the occasional couple of comments.

Let me know if you have any feedback!

It was quite fun. I think Kamala might be one of my favorite new characters. Her being around just lightens the scenes. Although I do think that the pacing is a bit rushed. Movie is less than 2 hours long so maybe they could have gone longer and give each act a bit more time.

I love musicals usually but having random songs in the middle of the movie just felt a bit awkward. Definitely funny but I found it a bit cringey.

Also that mid credits scene. They just threw X-Men right in there!

Edit to add: my biggest question to my partner when we walked out of the movie: how come now there are so many people with the power to just break reality suddenly? I hope that gets explained that’s not just “we need the movies to have bigger stakes”

Wiki pages for communities. It’s a great way to collect useful information that would otherwise get lost in different posts

Is that really up to Nolan? I don't know anything about the industry but is a director in charge of making sure everyone is credited?

At this point, this community is big enough that we don't need bots to drive up content anymore.

We have a pinned post that I try to keep up-to-date for iOS apps (at least active ones with TestFlight/AppStore links). It was created because there were many posts at the time about apps so we wanted a place to consolidate. And there's already a community !lemmyapps@lemmy.world to discover new apps. I think these are sufficient to find other Lemmy apps.

However, I'll discuss this again with the mod team and see if we want to be more lenient about new Lemmy apps.

I’m someone in that group. My last 2 jobs have been following a former manager. Now about 70% of the engineering department are from previous companies
