Objectively and demonstrably wrong. Excellent post.

I've thought a lot about why "corporate Memphis" sucks so much. I think it's because it comes across as incredibly ingenuine. It communicates a Utopian world free of race and gender gaps, which is demonstrably not the case in reality. In a way, the AI art is more genuine. "We don't give a fuck, neither do you, buy our stuff". I feel it speaks to an overall nihilism with the world. I think it's a part of the disillusionment with the "liberal elite" that we find on the left (and honestly, probably the right too). Corporate Memphis is Nancy Pelosi. AI art is JD Vance. The fact we're yearning for the former shows how terrible the latter really is.

I'm confused by 24 hour self exclusion, followed by 90 day self exclusion. So 91 day self exclusion? Why not just say that?

Hey everyone, very new to mbin. I used to have both a Lemmy and Mastodon account separately, so I'm familiar with the idea of threads and microblogs. However, on mbin I'm noticing microblogs can be posted to a magazine, and I've even seen microblogs from Lemmy users. How is that possible? I assumed the only people that could make microblogs were mastodon and mbin users. Also, if you can post a microblog to a magazine, what separates it from a thread? The only thing I can tell is that the app labels one as a thread and another as a microblog.
