How does it damage the PN junction of the panel is open circuit or barely loaded? It doesn't seem logical that this would damage the panel, but I'm open to being proven wrong.

There are all kinds of follow up questions to ask as well, but I think the main one is how big an effect are we talking?

The number of times I got a word doc with the job description in it is ridiculous as well. Yes, I am judging you if you do that.

A PDF is also editable, sure, but at least everyone can open the goddamn thing without any problems.

You don't need a licence if they are in the category of electric bike, meaning they cannot be self propelled (you need to peddle) and they have a limiter limiting the speed to 25 km/h.

Unfortunately, these things are wicked easy to circumvent. Many retailers will sell you a throttle (meant for moving the bike while walking with it) and changing the speed limiter and peddle requirement is as easy as going into the software settings. This results into what is effectively an electric moped without the licence plate and requirement. According to the law, such a vehicle requires you have a license and wear a helmet, but of course nobody does.

Room 0123 isn't an option? With 0 being the ground floor?

What you need are good laws, not so much a 4 day work week. I just go to the doctor during office hours and tell my employer I have to go. I even get paid time off for it, like everyone else working in this country. Same for the dentist or any other kind of medical thing.

Sure, it's not always optimal if you work in some sort of shift, but they are required to make sure you can go.

By the way, not that I wouldn't appreciate a 4 day work week, but this seems like a bit of a stretch to say that this is the reason why you would need one.

Ah man, those times were great. Bored? Just push the button and you'll see something new. No scrolling, just a new website with random interesting stuff to explore.

And it's objectively a worse experience for it.

Ever heard of Jehovah's witnesses? Or Mormons going on their mission? They aren't constant here, but they are definitely a thing in the Netherlands.

I had a nice one today. I saved an email for archiving for all to see ( you know, as a .msg) and tried to open it. Windows asked if I would like to open it with Outlook (new). Sure, I thought, only to be greeted by the message "sorry, this function is not supported".

Why do you do this to me Microsoft?! Why?!

I would honestly hope we would be smart enough not to go the road of the car again but instead invest in good public transportation, at least in cities and other densely populated areas. Flying cars, even automated, would be a terrible idea from both risk and energy/climate change perspectives.

So why not use something like WhatsApp or Signal instead then? Sounds like a terrible user experience to me. Nobody I know uses iMessage, everybody uses WhatsApp instead, which is platform agnostic.

But I'm European, so the iPhone penetration is lower iirc and they can't stay in their bubble as much.
