While I’m sure that there are some therapists out there who don’t focus on this much, I assure you any modern day therapist worth their salt has had extensive systems training and is VERY aware of the environmental pressures their clients are facing. There are even entire theories that operate from this perspective. Look up the Liberation Health Model.

What might be fair to claim is that the PHARMACOLOGICAL industrial complex is myopically focused on the individual. But given the nature of big pharma, I would express doubt on this as well. They are also very systems savvy as they created the system itself.

Steven Crowder (I might have spelled his name wrong because I won’t give him the satisfaction of another google hit on his name). Hosts a show called Louder with Crowder. If the name doesn’t tell you everything he is just another conspiracy right wing shill who likes to label himself as an intellectual. Think Ben Shapiro with a shittier haircut. Recently, his wife left him and now he is spewing crap about changing divorce laws so that both people in the marriage must agree to the divorce (trapping many victims of abuse). He is basically a big man baby who other man babies listen to because it soothes their smooth brains.

All of this is just what I have absorbed through memes because, again, I won’t look up his shit. If I’m off on any of it, feel free to correct me.

Definitely not an isolated issue as channels from manny different backgrounds have had to deal with this. Honestly the market is ripe for someone to come forward and offer creators a better deal than what YouTube has been offering. They seem very complacent.
