Awhile back someone on here suggested maybe we’re trying to implement all of the fictional dystopias at the same time, so per the theory it might be because of Black Mirror or that podcast that we’re doing this.

I would prefer them to go after mechanisms like this over tying all web activity to IDs I guess, but punishing and penalizing companies that have clear ill intent and demonstrate a lack of moral scruples seems the most efficient way to address the issues we’re seeing with social media design.

Sounds like they’ve blocked about 170 people who they claim didn’t have the proper authorizations. Wonder how many remain.

Do you think they also support no longer exploiting those countries for profit or meddling in their governments? And perhaps back pay for the previous exploitation and destabilization?
