One area where that is the case is the clamping mechanism. With USB-C, the moving parts/springs, which are the part of a connector that is most prone to failute are in the cable, which is both easier and significantly cheaper to replace than the charging port/device.

If you don't have it as a student for instance, you're practically socially ostracizing yourself. I don't want to use it at all, but you basically have to, and at that point I also want to access it on my school Laptop, which runs Pop!...

I just dont see why the hell you would switch? dd/mm works fibe in all situations and has some advantages sometimes, while mm/dd is fine sometimes, but generally worse or equal.

Yes, 80 years ago. Todays Volkswagen has nothing to do with the original Volkswagen project beside the name and anyone who thinks todays Volkswagen is a Nazi company or any such nonsense is an absolute moron.

I am going to assume you want to know what a fork is. if not, ignore me.

If the sourcecode of a software is publicly available, someone can take that sourcecode and develop it into a different direction than the original software. In this case, a third-partt reddit app called Infinity is being developed into a Lemmy app by someone who is not the original dev.
