Meh. Lee was not particularly bad, it just was a very wide storm, and the areas that got hit are used to dealing with even stronger winter storms.

That's not good at all.

I'm fine with Republicans attempting to impeach Biden. It will fire up the extremists on the right, but it will also fire up Democrats while turning off any moderate voters out there. It hurts republicans far more than it hurts Democrats, it makes them look like petulant children, and that should help persuade voters to push them out of power. If they are going to abuse the tools of power, which they will, I would rather have it happen with Biden, who is about as clean and boring as a politician gets, rather than having them going on a fishing expedition and finding something like Clinton.

Firefox for general browsing. Firefox Focus when I want privacy (it can help get around some paywalled news sources.) If I need to use a Chrome based browser, I use Samsung with an ad block.

I am currently running KDE Neon 5.27 which is Ubuntu based, on an Inspiron 3551 with an Intel N3540 @ 2.16GHz which is a 4 core Atom,
and 4 GiB of RAM. With this 1 tab of Firefox open, the system is using 2GB of the RAM. I have had no issues running Neon on such a slow system with little RAM, but I don't usually have many tabs or programs running at the same time. Pretty much all the desktop interfaces for Linux run with far less resources and bloat than Windows, I would start by finding which desktop environment you prefer. I have been a fan of KDE for many years now, but try different bootable distros to get a feel for which interface you would like.

I am fine with them, especially since they can be used to indicate the tone of a comment that would otherwise be difficult to discern. However, when you do that every other word as emoji thing (like the various copypasta that go around) or you put hand claps after every word, then I will hate you for the rest of my life and haunt you from the grave.

Even better, the checkmark users paid to be alpha testers and get the privilege of using a paid app less than when it was free.

The submarine company is also an example of this. Why listen to material scientists or engineers when you can cut corners to save a buck? Submarine experts told the CEO it was just a matter of time before the carbon fiber went pop, and that would be really bad for anyone inside at the time. But they saved so much money!
