Surprised to read what seem like knee-jerk reactions to the idea on the Bluesky thread. FPTP may be simple, but it’s also super good at maintaining a two-party system and disenfranchising voters.
That is fucking hilarious, esp the cell service requirement for you to, you know, open and shut the doors on the vehicle.
So done with this bullshit.
My experience is not vast, but I’ve seen a lot more use of Power BI in companies than Tableau in recent years. I think Power BI is a frequent choice because of how mainstream it is. Most companies already have an existing license agreement with Microsoft for windows and office, so there’s a low barrier for entry if they need some general purpose analytics and reporting. This is also a vibe thing in part, as there’s a familiarity and comfort level already in place with M$, whereas Tableau can be a bit of an unknown for many.
I don’t think you’d regret either, but from a job search perspective I think you might fit with more companies with Power BI.
