I won't comment on that usage of AI because I could complain about it for hours. You're courageous to learn programming while being surrounded by people who show their great vibe-coded achievements (while not learning anything at all). Don't give up, it's very fun even after 20 years of writing any kind of application.

C and Java are a bit difficult as first languages because you have to learn a lot of concepts at the same time. Anyway, if you have any question, don't hesitate to spam !learn_programming@programming.dev and I'm sure people will be happy to help.

It's a dead-end job because of PHP. But if you insist on using that language, drop all AI usage and learn with some good code, and add some CI/DevOps automation to clean and check everything.

There are tags on Piefed it seems. But it's always been a mess, and ends up with people putting a lot of tags on their own posts to spam. Moderation is good enough on Lemmy. I don't think you need to complicate things further.
