huh I didn't know VOC could just handle it like that. but thinking about it now that makes sense. its not like its loading the whole file into memory, its just reading from the disk

and get 3 fps?

[-] milkytoast@kbin.social 6 points 5 months ago

honestly would be difficult lol

I listen to way more than an album a month. and I only pay ~$3 a month for spotify, I don't think that buys an album. I'm all for buying music, that's why I'll occasionally buy a vinyl of an album I absolutely love

lol advance auto parts (one of the three major auto parts stores in the us) won't let u use their site with a VPN. so I just use the other two lol. like I can understand a government website blocking VPN traffic. but auto parts store?

just finished sewing (or rather just modifying) myself some pants

[-] milkytoast@kbin.social 8 points 11 months ago

yeah I would say block ads, and then whatever u would normally spend on premium, donate to your favorite creators

the creatora only get 55% (which isn't bad all things considered) of the ad/premium revenue. by donating directly u spend the same but they get more

me too, but usually only with indie games, because triple a studios can go fuck themselves. but like Stardew valley costs $6, imma buy it

no they pulled everyone's license

to add on to that, they put it on sale to get some quick bucks before shutting it down

Whether it be third party clients (like we used to have Infinity and Apollo and what not for reddit) or separate services, like ddg or firefox for web, kbin or lemmy instead of reddit.

right now looking for snapchat alternatives, preferably a different client if at all possible.

thanks guys :)

for Spotify, i can just download a Spotify premium APK. i know i can't do anything for tidal, as HiFi and HiFi+ are server side. anything for Deezer or qobuz? basically I'm just looking for HiFi audio
