If you don't like the way communities are being moderated, maybe you should find/start a server that more aligns with your values.

I think it would be cheese on top of pasta sheet layered with mashed potato so creamy it's practically a sauce, on top of ground meat/ mince mixed with tomato & vegetable sauce.

Violence is the only way a dictator will be deposed. History has proven it well.

Is that true? What about South Korea and Taiwan?

I agree about it being baffling to see so many 'freedom loving Americans' so blind to the nature of the current administration.

They look awful. Slightly less awful when wrapped, but I heard that Tesla fucked up the bonding surface for wraps or something so they're basically unremovable, but will deteriorate with age.

I'm going to be one of those parents. I'm going to share what my 7 year old said at breakfast earlier this week as he looked over my shoulder at the pictures in the newspaper and asked me what the articles were about.

I forget how it came up, but I mentioned that Trump is very old and might die of old age in less than 4 years. He said:

I don't want him to die but I don't want him to be their ruler anymore.

I told him he was right and praised him for being able to hold those two ideas in his head at the same time.

...Personally I'd prefer a single event that resulted in the horrific death of several specific top USA officials due to their own malice/avarice/corruption, but I don't want him to be too cynical.

I think it'd be best to be horrific, to shock society into demanding better leadership. I don't think we'll be so lucky.

And the new one is NORTH American.

People using "American" to refer to anyone from the western continent (from a euro centric perspective) is conventional in some parts or the world. It's not the convention in Canada, we bristle at the thought of being labeled Americans.

He is still an American citizen, I'm curious about what Canadian traitors and patriots will make of that.

whoever wrote this wanted to make clear that Judaism does not condone human sacrifice, in contrast to other contemporary religions.

I suspect that the addition of the lamb(goat?) Was a latter addition to distance Judaism from child sacrifice but that Judaism did evolve out of a religious tradition that practiced child sacrifice (and idolatry). But I'm also aware of how antisemites would love to slander modern Judaism with accusations in a similar vein, so it's a kinda difficult line to walk.

Fun fact: Abraham goes up the mountain with his son but comes down alone, suggesting that in the original text he went through with the child sacrifice.

When we import food/drug manufacturing equipment we often accept American certifications as compliant with Canadian standards. If a company can say they are compliant FDA or NSF while facing no risk of facing an actual inspection/audit then we may have to exercise more scrutiny ourselves.

If you sincerely can't keep track of an acronym like LGBTQIA2S, I totally understand. I find it helpful to use people with minority "Sexual Orientations and Gender Identites" (SOGI). You could say

people with minority SOGIs

Or

SOGI minorities

Or

SOGIm

It's not a super widespread abbreviation, so I'd recommend spelling it initially as I did in my first paragraph. I don't think it's best practice to say "SOGIs" Because everyone has a SOGI and typically we're trying to talk specifically about those that face(d) disenfranchisement and bigoted violence.

If you're not sincerely struggling with the acronym, and enjoy trivializing people for fun, I hope you think of me everything you stub your toe.
