The design is very human

Italian here (Veneto) How do you say it in your dialect? The ball bearing one. I really can't translate it myself into something that could make sense to me.

Same thought. I just said to people close to me that I don't want gifts neither for christmas nor for my birthday and I'll never want them. As a kid it makes sense, getting something you really want from someone else because you don't really have a serious job or money at all so it's one of the few chances to get something. Now if I want something I just buy it, otherwise I just don't want it. And if I can't buy it because it's expensive why would I want someone else to spend that kind of money? Plus all that thinking about what would be a good gift. And if it's about "showing you care about me" then really, just say merry christmas or happy birthday.

Other than dedicated extensions there is a filter to enable in ublock origin under the annoyances section for cookie popups

Didn't even think of a building as a container

Dunno why you would be so happy when the bread is for the table

This. I remember that one video by LTT where he tried searching for a flight and he got a way higher price on the standard browser compared to the one with no personal accounts/cookies.

If I use search engines, be it to find opinions on a topic or as you said an insurance, I want those sorted by factors like the date it's been created and maybe the reputability of the source. Not what the algorithm thinks I want to see or I should see in "its" opinion.

Wow this paperback thing is a cool idea. I was looking to not share anything but I'm sure I can apply it to other cases.

Good point, I am in fact nothing compared whoever celebrity you might think of. In my case though the idea would be of some family member or friend unlocking any device (say for something like looking for a picture together or whatever file they might need) and casually stumbling on something I didn't want share. I want to have that kind of control where if I shared something with someone it's because I wanted to, everything else nobody knows about should stay that way. I mean, it's not like I'm hiding nuke codes or bigtiddygothgf.jpg but still, if I didn't tell you then you shouldn't know.

Lastly, yeah I'm dead so it's not my problem but people will remember me for a little while more so might as well think of that too.

Lately I started including what happens to my data in case I die unexpectedly in my threat model. As of now I'd like for everything to stay private. All my accounts have a strong password that I store on a keepass datbase that I store only on encrypted devices which themselves are protected only by PIN or Password with no biometrics (I use the pin only on my phone which is set up to get wiped after 20 failed unlock attempts to mitigate bruteforce attacks). As for what I post online, I keep it to a minimum and nothing really personal, preferring only viewing content through clients with no account when possible. I know some services allow to set up what happens after a certain period of inactivity but I was wondering if you guys can suggest anything else. Maybe some program that wipes the computer's drive after a period of inactivity? Some other tools or some tips I didn't consider?

I mean, the PinePhone has a switch to change the audio jack from audio into some kind of data transfer protocol. I guess someone could make it work.

I usually edit the file I want then save it on an external drive and proceed to perform a clean install of the OS
