I don’t know if all states have it, but Virginia does have vote history on their voter registration page. It doesn’t show what your vote was, but does show that it was received and counted.

There is definitely some subjectivity. Language isn’t something that is easily parsed and scored. That is why they give examples on the actual report about the kind of biased language they saw, or whatever other issues led to the score given.

I don’t think they mean for their website to be the end all bias resource. More of a stepping off point for you to make your own judgments.

Why do you say they’re opaque? They detail the history of the publication, the ownership, their analysis of bias within their reporting, and give examples of failed fact checks. I’m not sure what else you could want about how a publication is rated? I’m not saying it’s perfect, but they seem to be putting a solid effort into explaining how they arrive at the ratings they give.

Being slightly less shitty doesn’t mean people should stop calling them out for their shittiness.

Sony specifically says on their own site that it’s not required.

Largely because the left is less interested in hating and killing everyone around them over irrelevant differences. There are many armed leftists, they just don’t cosplay government overthrow or post apocalyptic warlord on a regular basis.

Also, have you ever tried to organize anarchists?

And you propose I do what exactly? They are dead set on ignoring reality and substituting their supremacist fantasy. Any program that is aimed at uplifting people is deemed communist and assaulted by the very people it’s aimed at helping. Any influx of people and capital that could replace all the lost industry is viewed as an invasion of “elites” or whatever enemy of the day is.

They are ruled by fear and hate of everything that outside of their safe propaganda bubble. They cannot be helped until they are willing to do a bit of introspection, and decide they are open to listening and learning. I will not feel sorry for the people who would happily destroy the world around them just because it doesn’t align with what they want it to be.

I grew up with this. I know these people. I got away from it, and I am happy to never go back.

Did you miss the tired and overworked comment? Feeling exhausted and burned out doesn’t inspire most people to spend a large amount of time and effort learning something new.

I know this is just a meme, but no one would say Chris Kyle is the best US sniper. He was a sniper, but having a movie made about you doesn’t make you the best.

Don’t even need to do an investigation. If you read Mozilla’s auto manufacturer privacy report, auto makers openly admit to spying on everyone to a repulsive degree. And then sell all that info to anyone they want with no way to opt out, well other than buying an older car without any connectivity.

I’m not disagreeing about them being a combatant. I’m disagreeing that being a combatant gives the military carte blanche authority to kill you. Like I said, the rules of engagement can be very specific about how, when, where, and with who you are legally allowed to engage. Self defense is the only universal time the US military is allowed to use lethal force. Outside of that you follow the restrictions and force escalations parameters outlined in the ROE.
