Chuck Norris ist übrigens vergangene Woche gestorben.

Man muss auch im Artikel gelesen haben, dass in Portugal genau so eine große Studie jetzt vorgelegt wurde. In vielen Bistümern in Deutschland ist das in der Zwischenzeit auch passiert. Die Medien berichten natürlich über die Fallzahlen, die in den Studien drin stehen. Aber hinter allen bekannten Fallzahlen steht halt ein Bistum, dass seine Hausaufgaben gemacht hat. Klar ist es einfacher, auf die zu schimpfen, die das ganze vor die Wand fahren (Grüße nach Köln), aber mittlerweile sind die halt in der deutlichen Minderheit.

Der Beitrag enthält ein ganze Reihe Punkte, wie sich der Papst um eine Aufklärung und Aufarbeitung der Missbrauchsfälle bemüht. Es läuft nicht überall so schlecht wie im Bistum Köln.

Ihre Tochter soll ein festes, christliches Fundament bekommen. Sie dürfe aber in der Zukunft auch selbst entscheiden, ob sie in der Kirche bleiben will oder nicht.

Dieses Fundament schafft man für seine Tochter - selbst, wenn man es wirklich will, was ich einfach mal unterstelle - aber vor allem durch einen eigenen Glauben und das eigene Leben.

Und so leid es mir tut: Hätte da jemand aus die Frage nach dem Warum des Eintritts mit "Weil ich meinen Glauben (wieder-)gefunden habe" geantwortet, hätte ich da mehr Hoffnung.

So bleibt das ein ungewöhnlicher Artikel, aber ansonsten...

Back in 2004, I had a SuSE Linux professional 9.2 on 5 CDs and 2 DVDs. I repeat: SEVEN DISKS!! Even without internet access - which I did not have at that time - it felt like all apps accessible through packet manager. You just had to swap discs when prompted. I just took it out in fond memory... SuSE Linux 9.2

To be fair -- the error message right after the POST which was produced by switching PS-2 mouse and keyboard was more than cryptic and gave no indication what so ever on the real reason.

Back in the day keyboard and mouse were connected to the back of the computer with identical (but color coded) PS-2 plugs.

Today one would expect that swapping two mechanically identical plugs would result in no major trouble - think USB - but back then COLOR CODES HAD TO BE OBEYED!

Or computer science teacher came to help when our PC won't boot up, tried reset, tried reset again, fiddled with the BIOS, gave up.

That wasted more than halve the lesson's time just for us to swap plugs back to working while he wasn't watching.

Sometimes things simply don't work when the teacher is around...

Does anyone remember notpron? Very similar concept and much fun! Legend says one could even earn a certificate upon completion.
