I had this ad earlier today. Not impressed.
Can somebody ELI5 this to a normal tech person who is aware of the RISC5, but has no idea why everyone is so excited about this?
- Why is this exciting?
- Is there a future where this replaces x86 CPUs in the desktop / laptop?
- Will emulation or translation layers allow x86 applications to run on RISC CPUs?
The EU specifically disallowed that in their terms.
- Harmonised fast charging technology will help prevent that different producers unjustifiably limit the charging speed and will help to ensure that charging speed is the same when using any compatible charger for a device.
Oh believe me we will, but we have to wait for them to call an election (likely autumn 2024). They're roundly despised and they know it. They're just milking as much as they can before they're flung out of Parliament.
They're a disgrace.
Feels like the change in compound hit them hard.
This is me. That rush when a new ROM booted for the first time, or the panic when you're not sure if you've just softbricked your phone.
Bugs? You tell me!
I have a disease which limits what I can eat, therefor the ability to digest any food or drink comfortably.
Harsh on slugs.
Dungeon Keeper, Red Alert 2, Unreal Tournament.
Self hosting is much closer to gaming on Linux than Windows imo, but it's a great analogy nevertheless.
Pisses me off no end when companies cheap out on IT equipment. I work in a place where a large number of us will be on £35 - £55k, yet the IT budget for each of us is less than 1% of our salary over 3 years.
It's crazy. Don't employ professionals then give them low end enthusiast gear.
