Ingo Wortmann, Präsident des Verbandes Deutscher Verkehrsunternehmen (VDV) fordert in diesem Zusammenhang, dass man den Klimawandel als die "größte Herausforderung unserer Zeit begreifen und entsprechend politisch priorisieren" müsse. Dazu benötigen die Verkehrsunternehmen mehr Fahrzeuge, mehr Personal und eine bessere Infrastruktur, so Wortmann.
Wenn der öffentliche Verkehr einen Beitrag zum Klimaschutz leisten wolle, sei der ÖPNV-Ausbau "absolut notwendig", so Wortmann. Er appelliert an Bund und Länder, die nötigen Finanzmittel in zweistelliger Milliardenhöhe zügig bereitzustellen, sonst werde man "die Klimaschutzziele im Verkehrssektor bis 2030 nicht erreichen". Viele Kommunalpolitiker unterstützen den VDV-Präsidenten.
Die Ansage finde ich gut, leider bin ich bei unserem aktuellen Verkehrsminister skeptisch, ob das mit dem "zügig" auch was wird.
Bei dem Festakt Anfang Juli feierte Ministerpräsident Dietmar Woidke sich und seine Regierung. Er sagte: „Das Tolerante Brandenburg funktioniert, und es funktioniert sogar so gut, dass wir Vorbild sind.“

Die Kirchensteuer ist zwar nervig, aber persönlich fände ich es noch wichtiger, wenn endlich mal die ganzen Staatsleistungen abgeschafft werden, die die Kirchen jedes Jahr zusätzlich aus allgemeinen Steuergeldern erhalten. Die kann man nämlich nicht so einfach durch einen Austritt umgehen. Angeblich will die Ampel das sogar noch vor der nächsten Wahl angehen, aber mal sehen, was daraus wird.

According to Wikipedia, the Chicago metropolitan area has a population of about 10 million people, far less than Poland's 38 million, which makes your claim completely impossible from the start. In fact, according to other articles, it seems that there are about 185 000 people of Polish descent living in Chicago (less than half a percent of the population of Poland), and a bit less than 10 million in the entire US (which is significant compared to the population of Poland, but still "only" about a quarter). And this article claims that there are "roughly 20 000 000 people of Polish ancestry living outside Poland" [in total], which is still less than the population of Poland.
