I think current 'lifestyle creep' for many is getting used to things like 'health insurance' and 'something other than beans and rice'. Hard to give up simple human dignity once you've had a taste of it.

It was unfortunate to learn that work did not have the concept of semesters and you couldn't just write off an assignment from your boss as 'well I'll get a zero from that one, but there's always next semester'. They just keep bugging you about it over and over even though clearly I've moved on already.

Semesters were a much easier 'reset' than getting fired was.

It's still possible, but only with a physical Kindle device and I believe only one of the older ones. You can copy files off those devices to your PC and crack them that way.

Otherwise I'm not aware of any other method. It really sucks too as my favorite genre literally only exists in the Amazon ecosystem (small indie authors that rely on KU and so don't publish anywhere else)

Not shown is the mother hatefully oppressing others due to her religion.

Religion can be both helpful to those that follow it while also causing those same people to do or support horrific things in its name.

Just call it 100 freedom units and everyone will love it.

Popularity of robo wasps went up when the president claimed dying in horrible agony was actually a good thing. Several people voluntarily provoked their nests. Others tried keeping them as pets.

Took me getting fired from one job and almost a second before I finally got my coping mechanisms figured out. It's still a struggle and it's also cost me a significant amount of my ability to enjoy my free time (have to severely limit my investment in anything not work related so I don't accidentally get consumed by it and lapse at work), but I'm 'functional' now.

Could just switch to grams. Selling by fraction is the problem not by weight itself.

I do. I enjoy figuring out how it all works and then restructuring it to my exact specifications. But then the problem is 'solved' so my brain wants to focus on something else.

Even when I play games, I struggle to complete them. I play just enough to figure out the gameplay loop. The part where you've got all the mechanics and the game goes 'and repeat till the game is over'. I struggle to have the desire to do that part, because why? The puzzle is solved and the rest is simply execution.

I struggle with driving on m&kb. Last time I played I just had a controller off to the side and would switch between them depending on what I was doing.

Every now and then I pull up a game I might want to play. Mod the hell out of it, sometimes even fixing old broken mods or writing my own. I spend ages learning all the details of how it all works and engage in the community, etc.

I never actually end up playing the game.

Yeah, I was surprised at how dextrous their front paws were having grown up with only dogs. Definitely little hands.
