If you can make this wish happen I would be most grateful. Thank you for your consideration (I know they are limited).

This map will help you determine which provider you choose for your service. The top tier resells their groups to the providers below on the tree. For best results subscribe to one of the providers in one color; and buy block access from another provider. This will help ensure that the posts that you need to download are complete. It also shows the retention time of each provider; however I have found this to be inaccurate; many of the providers host messages for a much longer timel

Important Note: There is an update to the provider map; this is 2022 if someone knows the changes and can edit the .svg file or provide the information it would be greatly appreciated.

Absolutely! The M2 is already highly capable. An M3 w/ DDR5 and PCIe 5, in addition to their Retina display? Hell yeah! I just use my X1 Carbon as a thin client machine; it really doesn't do any heavy lifting. No lag on Windows or Linux; but I prefer not to have to block all microsoft instances at the router.

I've printed over 12,000 pages on my one brother laser printer! Only had to replace the drum once ($30); and I would buy my off brand toner in a 2 pack for $20! The other brother laser (scanner/fax/self-feeding) is currently at 6,000 pages! That one I've only had to replace the toner a few times. The most expensive thing is the paper but I have a deal with a few stores around here that I'll buy their torn open reams for $1 each.

Yeah I had an HP and that mf would burn through a $40 cart in about 100 pages. Brother's the boss.

I've never been an native MacOS users except prior to their Intel and M1/2 series chips. X1 Carbons are just a thing of mine I like; they run linux and Windows just fine; however there is no way to upgrade things really. The T series Thinkpads are great as desktop replacements but are no MacBook replacements. I guess to sum up: if you are in the MacOS linage, stick with MacOS. If you are using Windows, then Thinkpads offer some of the best laptop experiences.

Home, Education, Full 6" latex memory foam mattress, Quality sheets, Blackout Curtains, Thinkpad laptops (T series and X1 series; don't game), WD red drives, VPN access (port forwarding; needed for hosting), FIOS (1gb asynchronous; no data cap; they don't care), Brother laser printer/scanner, Email account on secure server (they take care of business)

Friends in Maine managed to also avoid it completely!

Close to New York. It was horrible here for a while. Apocalyptic amounts of haze. Yet people were still riding bikes, mowing lawns, running, and so on. Air quality index was over 300 for a bit.

Had a nice day; no complaints. Staying up late tonight to catch up on some things. No wildfire smoke. Did some research on making a Hackintosh for fun. Chillen with my family for the 4th; no major plans. Just resting and taking it easy. How's everyone else doing?

I can't fathom that amount stored there in addition to the amount of data traffic occurring. Those fibers are on fire; coming in the centers in 3 foot tubes! For some reason they don't appear on google image search. ;)

Say goodbye acoustic coupler. There will be no more handset phone for you. The powers at be will let you be free. From this almighty twisted pair I shall get the best connection there is. Mother has lost; we can directly connect.

It's over. Feels like losing an old friend. Let's morn the loss of our old community for a few days, remember that best of post and conversations, and more forward. This was our Summer "Eternal September" moment. Make this new home vibrant, share you passions, make closer friends, and keep coming back. Things are weird, so is change. It was home to many of us for 17 years, it's almost old enough to vote; and it's CEO did. So fuck /u/spez, welcome; make this the home you keep coming back to. @green_dragon@lemmy.world

That would be lovely. There are few email clients available on fdroid and I've had issues with either anti features or getting the other ones to work with pop or IMAP.

My advice. Call a local electrician or small business networking company; get some quotes for what you are looking for. Have 2 cables run from the network interface box to where your router/firewall is in addition to a second location in case you ever need to expand the network setup in you home. The cost is well worth not worrying about pulling cables. Install CAT6 boxes in almost every room you foresee a cable ever being run. Good luck! I recently rewired my home with CAT6 from the fiber interface box and am now enjoying 900/850mb everywhere in my home.

I'd say that if you want the best made; lowest costing headphones that have been in production for over 20 years try Koss Porta Pros. Get the older model that looks like it's from the 80's. It works great without an amp; folds up for travel; stands up to abuse; and generally is a great value. They can be had for $40.
