We've got outdoor cats in coyote country. Haven't had a problem, honestly I'm more afraid of a great horned owl moving in. We've got a dog that barks a lot. Also sometimes our neighbor will shoot a coyote and leave it out there to scare the others off. But the yipping and howling is why I wear earplugs when I go camping, or put a fan of during summer months.

Dunno, I just don't believe my NixOS config files are particularly valuable. What is the benefit of sharing garbage code from a novice? I'd rather share things worth sharing, that could be useful to someone else.

I do the same thing. Anything I put on there isn't something that I would share with the Internet anyway. If it was a serious project, sure. It's just nice to have a personal git you can access over a VPN sometimes.

Ignorance of what? It seems that if you're using a word the same way your sub culture uses a word, it's correct. Or rather that words can only be used correctly within a context.

My disagreement with the show came primary from the premise that we rely more on technology than we do on people(not sure he was trying to make that point but the whole thing about loss of electricity leading to bad anarchy leads me to interpret it that way). However I also believe that with our technology we could be very close to a post scarcity world.

We could feed everyone, house everyone, etc. at our current level of technology. Should we decide we want to increase contentment by giving people more free time we could. It's because some people value other things that we do it the way we do.

How much work do we actually need to do to maintain our lifestyle? I'd say a lot less than we're currently doing. Just think about all the waste that goes into Bitcoin. What about insurance, or any number of jobs. Humans create systems (or that's what I got out of that episode of connections) but those systems are not necessarily efficient at benefiting equally.

So I can't actually find anything from a quick search that tells me what "bread poisoning" is. Searches show results for both moldy bread as well as ergotism. Just about every source on the Internet tells me that eating a bunch of moldy bread should just give you a bad case of shits or vomits. But if someone is immunocompromised or has gut issues it could be worse.

But if this was ergot poisoning that's different and doesn't have much to do with ordinary bread mold.

One of the best things in games that aren't super polished or balanced is figuring out how to exploit the game. It gives you the same kind of feeling you get from getting to the end game in Gothic (or something like that). Getting powerful through your own skill and commitment to the game. Steady progression is good sometimes, but so is feeling progress.

Also yeah sometimes I cheat in single player games

There's natural incidence of prion disease in humans as well. I'm definitely not an expert and just remembering a video I watched a week or two ago. That the prions from different sources act differently.

Video I watched: Mad cow disease Also watched this one
