I've have 2 windows open for years, I am also confused at what this is meant to solve. Streaming service on one side, articles on the other side, keeps all the tabs tidy.

Companies killing forums and communities by choice or apathy is so disheartening. They have so much control over what we see and talk about everyday, and they can even just turn the community off by providing poor service.
It worked for Google. They corraled a majority of the internet into providing them add revenue. Google maps, Gmail, google search engine, youtube... all just more ways for them to scrape your data and serve you adds. Investors are hedging their bets on what could replace google as the information monopoly of the future.
New Hampshire doesn't require seat belts on anyone over 18. They actually sell seat belt male ends to insert into the female end to keep the car from chiming at the driver. I was surprised when someone got into my car annoyed about wearing a belt, they were from New Hamphire.
Would billionaires pay people to keep them off of the internet? I can't imagine they want people who aren't in their golf clubs to know who they are.

I grew up on an American farm and I cannot comprehend the suburbs. Grass just grows, it was there before developers bull dozed whatever forest / farm / wetland was already there to install impossible to walk cul-de-sacs everywhere. Less massive yards and more public parks would be better for everyone.
