That would be an incredibly bad argument. Because it's not a motive, it's just descriptive. "we're at the top so we have the right" it's just a claim we make for ourself without considering how we got there.. and what if a smarter, more advanced alien race would come down to earth and conquer us? Would they agree that since they are top of the chain now they have "the right" to slaughter us? Obviously not. So then we would claim: "we're smart! Look, we know math. And love.. we also feel pain.". So these are important to us.

Nothing really. Reddit will go on as usual with a bit less users and more ad revenue.

One way is to just browse your home feed and make sure you selected Subscribed or similar, here look at my screenshot: . Also Lemmy.World is having some issues scaling so not the best choice IMHO for the main instance, bc it would be best a smaller and stabler one.

I confirm that in the terms and condition they discourage the use as a private cloud backup and only to host stuff related to the website. Now.. until now I've had no complaints as I've been paying and kept the traffic at minimum. I guess I'll have to switch to some more cloud oriented version if I keep expanding. But it's worked for now !

A simple script using duplicity to FTP data on my private website with infinite storage. I can't say if it's good or not. It's my first time doing it.

The video in the article is pretty hilarious but I doubt it works in real life. It was probably a demo controlled by a human. But still.. nice idea.

It's not very scientific of me to make these claims, I apologize. I'm not an expert in fetus development.. I'm not sure these differences of stimuli matter in womb so much as to affect gene expression, but we can't really exclude them, can we? That's what I'm getting at. To be identical, these twins must undergo an identical development, which is impossible.

As said it's about superpositions. Normal bits can be set to 0 or 1. Qbits can be in a superpositions of states 0 and 1. So the state of a qbits can be written as a weighted sum of the two states. Now you can do traditional math with this, always could. It's just a physical level difference of the system. There are many bullshit things with quantum computing tho. They are probabilistic in nature and have infinite memory.of the past, for example.

Sounds fun. But as others have said, plan a backup strategy like in the cloud or something.
