You’re almost there. They think the destruction of the country is a good idea. They want to grind the average citizen of the US into a poorer more malleable idiot. This is their plan. Get everyone living there to be so overwhelmed by the sheer cost (financial and emotional) of living that they can no longer resist in any form. This will allow the oligarchs to continue turning the US into their own big personal playground.

Saw the flick yesterday. Honestly the conflict isn’t meant to represent Israel Palestine. The invading country speaks Russian. There have been so many conflicts throughout history where a nation with substantial military power invades a neighbor that has pitiful defense capabilities. That whole part of the story has more to do with criticism of the military industrial complex than any real world conflict.
