Agreed! Glad you enjoyed it. It was my favourite animated show of last year.

It's on Netflix now and apparently they are considering picking it up for season 2 depending on how season 1 performs for them. Not sure how it's doing, it's only been like a week since it premiered on Netflix. Hopefully it does well.

Man, their run from the 90s to the end of the 2000s is absolutely incredible. Even films like A Bug's Life and Cars are pretty great. It's a pity that since then outside of a few films (Inside Out is a personal favourite) it's been a very uneven filmography at best. I think their decline a few years after Disney's purchase is very disappointing.

I still remember when the Red trailer for RWBY first dropped. Was such an awesome moment.

Hi Will, really liked the short film. How long does something like this take to create? I assume it starts with writing a script and then all the way to when it's ready for release.

Thanks for cross-posting!

And yeah it was a real bummer that it was cancelled. I remember that Netflix initially renewed it, but then cancelled it a few months later. Super frustrating.

Those first few seasons especially were near perfect imo and I genuinely think it was one of the best comedy shows of all time. I dropped off around season 5 I think so I don't know if any of the recent seasons captured the magic of the original.

Also it's meme-ability was on point which is part of the reason it remains such a cultural juggernaut.

Thanks for cross-posting!

Yeah I think Scorsese is a little naive if he thinks most children will prefer these to more modern animation. But as a cultural restoration project, I'm super happy this is being done.

I thought it was quite enjoyable. It's a little young-adult and heavily anime inspired so that might not be everyone's cup of tea. The pacing is very quick as well, especially in term of the Clark/Lois relationship, but I'm a big Superman fan so I was able to overlook that.

The first 2-3 episodes are a pretty good representation of the whole season so if you are interested then it might be worth checking out just the start to get a feel for it.

So basically, had a massive spike during the reddit blackout in July last year. Dropped down to half by November and has since shown fairly steady (if measured) growth. I think that's a good sign.
