Jokes aside its quite possible. Ukrainian partnerships with canada on domestic drone production, the US would burn perpetually if they dared. They are projecting a weak canada to save face, but they dare not mistaken canadian politeness for weakness. There is a reason Trump says we are the hardest do deal with of any country. Because we are done putting up with their shit. To be Canadian means to not be Amerikkkan.

Good thing their IPO has led to such an enshitifying hunger that they are speed running the death of old reddit (forcing many of us to abandon ship even if we were not ready) and now they are quadrupling down. Fuck reddit. They did me a favour by over reaching. Ill never use their service again and will actively back button when I arrive by accident. (Like the link from the OP, shame!)
As a Canadian I cant help but interpret this as nothing against Canada, but insecurity about our increasingly belligerent neighbour.
I sort of hear you, but all other countries get around this because most new money has digital or computer vision trackers now. Making it in fact easy for vendors as their POS devices and software update for them.
Thats part of the plot of Life of Pii, and it doesnt end well for those who choose to stay on said island! Ahah
Im not speaking on your behalf but I find for a lot of people a big part of it is the culture of using a credit card. 98% of things you can buy with credit card, you can buy with interact, and it punishes the vendors less.
Nice. Missed it but been making sure to hit up my local farmers markets before summer ends 😶🌫️ . To buy canadian over winter means root veggies and soups. :P
Did my first long distance bike ride using it and been surprised!
Fascinating to me thats the perception in the first place. Here in Canada its at least acknowledged that driving is dangerous, but its seen as more convenient and a status symbol even though in many contexts its a lot less convenient.
Same here too. First time learning about it and going to more heavily test this week, but so far it looks pretty good :). Great tips in this thread.
During the first flair up of annexation threats the Canadian Forces revealed they were preparing for a possible conflict that would require them to learn from their loss to the Taliban. There is no true dependency on the US if push comes to shove.

Edit: also, the US is actively losing to Iran, dont count Canada out so quickly.
