This tapioca-brained kid-fucker said Chicago's crime rate went down "only" because of the Guard, when the Guard was blocked this entire time from entering the city by a court order.

Because audio CDs get written the opposite way to data CDs. I forget which is which but one gets written outside-in and the other inside-out.

$500US, 12 games, so $41/game. That's honestly not terrible compared to buying 12 board games but I'm not feeling these smart devices with nebulous concepts of ownership. If I buy a Catan set, I can always play Catan. If this thing enshittifies and now I have to pay like $10/mo to keep playing, the math stops mathing.

I don't get why people reflexively suggest streaming boxes. A standalone Roku, Onn or FireTV is gonna spy on you just as much as any of these things. Apple TV is probably the best of a bad bunch (esp. since Nvidia enshittified the Shield TV). There's options like running the Shield with an alternate launcher or putting a ROM on the Fire stick or running A Linux STB but none of those are particularly accessible to the non-tech set.

Kolektiva knuckled under to a fed search warrant, I wouldn't touch that instance with a 10-foot pole. https://www.eff.org/sh/deeplinks/2023/07/fbi-seizure-mastodon-server-wakeup-call-fediverse-users-and-hosts-protect-their

I see a buncha commies out there, there's a bunch on normal.style and jorts.horse. Seem to be a preponderance on the shitposting-oriented instances.

homie does a lot but doesn't play well with others and has a habit of posting like a 12-year-old talking about "haters". I ignore his shit entirely, if pixelfed or loops take off, great, but I don't see it happening.

I'm currently funded by IKEA and looking to get a raise; my LinkedIn antifa group says it'd help if I had a competitive offer.

I'm thinking a Charlie Kirk Chia pet and a Capri Sun

I've had this concept in my head for a while, I'm kind of amazed it doesn't exist yet.

I want to send a link to a music track to an app on my server, probably yt, maybe Spotify, and have that track be archived on my server, with the metadata from the service, preferably in a place Jellyfin can get at it.

There's a few ways to do that with YT playlist links, but not with adhoc requests for individual tracks, as far as I can see.

Is this not something that exists? I'm thinking it might not be too hard to write, if it doesn't.

He has an absurdly large mustache, and on the band of his hat, the words "dog balls" are printed in large letters

I'm starting a running program with my family. Part of the fun is building a shared playlist and listing to cues together. I'd like to run the audio off one phone and have it go simultaneously to 4 headsets. I see there's phone apps that do today but my kids don't have phones. Is there a hardware device that can do this?

I use innertune to play music on my phone, it's ok but I'd like to move that server-side, and have the app store the music files in case I play them more than once. Is there a way to use a Subsonic app like Gonic in that way? I noted Tapsonic a while back which sounded about right but it doesn't seem to be getting off the ground. I saw a plugin for LMS that looked almost right but it apparently requires a YouTube API key.

Where I live, it'll soon be dark by 16:30. I have a good headlight and an ok taillight on my winter ride but I'd like to add some fun, funky lights for added visibility and lolz. There's a lot of crap out there especially on Amazon, what have you all had good experiences with?
