🤝

Clear that this is not the view held by the rest of the community, though. Time for me to head out.

If anyone knows of a really high standard (really, just actual journalism) news sub - no click bait, highly factual low editorial submissions - I would be interested. Don't want to waste my life with speculative garbage like this posing as news.

Either this is beneath the standards for news for this community or it's time for me to unsub.

Men like Bordain die because we let men like Kissinger live.

It's the rich, friend. Skin color isn't the issue, that's their distraction. The internet has fucked them because we can all see it now.

Wasn't there already a story today about a recall for an AI teddybear that will talk about sex and starting fires if you converse with it for more than a few minutes?

Who wants this fucking garbage?

Stop buying things. Goddamn.

If you killed someone I’d have to cover up for you even though I don’t condone murder

what?

This is what gets me about the conservative mindset every time. There appears to be no actual moral framework behind it. It is only about them and their wants and desires.

Personally, if someone said this to me I would understand them to be amoral. And an amoral person has no ground to stand on to judge anyone else.

Edit for a clarity reminder: the victim in the hypothetical proposed by the father is someone else's child, another human being who had every right to exist. But to this conservative dad, they're apparently nothing to be concerned about. And that is the problem.

You can keep your kernel-level shit off my CPU.

Spend money on servers. Verify your players. I don't care how you do it, but you don't get kernel-level access to my machine because some asshole script kiddies are aimbotting. You can never trust the client. This is basic shit that game devs will make up a whole host of bullshit to try to justify. (FWIW: I spent a solid decade as a professional game dev and I was as disappointed in this horseshit then as I am now. At least players are starting to figure it out now, too.)

Get your anticheat code off my fucking cpu and onto your servers where it belongs.

Garbage games do this, simple as.

How long will we keep wasting time and money trying to use law enforcement to solve mental, health and financial issues to no effect?

security parity is a password manager + 2fa generated on-device

This experience works perfectly for me. I have no need of whatever junk the latest consortium of megacorps has come up with.

🤷‍♂️

I am a layman with no expertise, so guage this guess accordingly:
