Don't use snap anymore, but I used to be able to turn my data off after loading the video, save it to gallery, then reset the app to prevent sending a message

Roku is headquartered in California. If we're prioritizing user friendliness over location (nothing wrong with this!) I'd go with a Google TV box or something like the Google streamer. Since it's Android based you can (with a little bit of a workaround) change the launcher and ditch the ads. With Roku you're stuck with whatever they give you; and they just "accidentally" tested ads on startup before you even see the home screen.

I haven't had any issues with my device, but it looks like it may be affecting others in this thread as well, but I don't see any reports about it (unless this is related to the ecosia browser)
Make sure you submit an issue with as much detail as possible. Devs can't fix what they don't know is broken!
