haven't watched a lot of shows that aren't anime so here are my recs:

  1. Your name (movie, its really really good)
  2. A silent voice (movie, same as your name)
  3. Your lie in april (tv series, apparently really good at making you cry but haven't watched it)
  4. Anohana: The flower we saw that day (tv series, same as your lie in april)

your name and a silent voice have really good animation btw

i almost cried during weathering with you which is a movie in the same universe as your name but it isn't as emotional as your name ig

tbh, i don't really understand why you're doing this op. i mean its not like brainrot, addiction or whatever it is that you're trying to protect your kids from is just gonna disappear when they're gonna become adults.

just talk to them about those problems and tell them why they shouldn't do that kinda stuff if your eldest daughter is already smart enough that she convinced you abt this shes already smart enough imo

and please don't create a closed mastodon server or smthng like that with you as the admin thats just not gonna work. even if its just normal stuff (also idk abt your children but me and all my friends talk and joke about stuff that would prob look or feel very weird around someone even just a gen older, sooo even if they were talking abt normal stuff, it might look weird to you) they would probably feel awkward talking since you, a parent would be seeing those posts. like just imagine how you would feel if you were a kid and your parents would just be looking at you every time you were talking with your friends

it doesn't snow in my area so except it being a bit chilly and earlier holidays winter isn't that big of a deal.

love the rainy season vibes but there are a lot of mosquitos in my country T^T

tip for xfce users (about rounded corners in the whisker menu) (sh.itjust.works)
 

i've been having problems with xfce where themes with rounded corners show a black box behind the whisker menu and even with the following code in ~/.config/gtk-3.0/gtk.css

}#whiskermenu-window { border-radius: 10px; border: none; box-shadow: none; border-image: none; background-image: none; outline: none; }

searches on duckduckgo returned nothing but after a few months with this problem i found a solution on google on the zorin os forums

the modifications: first, in the gtk.css file: __#whiskermenu-window frame>border { border-radius: 10px; border: none; box-shadow: none; border-image: none; background-image: none; outline: none; }_

then in the whisker menu properties, turn the opactiy to 99

no idea how or why this works but it just works :)
