I have tried those flashy browser themes (dark, grey or retro colors, wild designs) but in the end, I always switch back to Mozilla’s plain Dark theme. No distractions. It’s simple and straightforward like a good, reliable tool should be.

Yes, I understand. The annoying thing is that you end up with two or more apps for the same purpose. Mid-term, I think the only way to go is to go cold turkey at some moment, but it will costs you some friends and family contacts.

In the map area, I have been trying all of the proposed alternatives but ended up using Magic Earth as my main alternative on Android. For walking, I use OsmAnd+.
Can't live without Joplin anymore. Just being in control of your own stuff and so useful on many devices. Next step for Joplin: make todo/tasks even better, for instance by making a connection with todo.txt possibly (another open source set of apps I came to love deeply).
