Why exactly are we still bringing this up? We all know it was a shitty thing to do... this post reeks of ragebait.

Yes, it got on the nerves of too many people, but Quentin thanks you nonetheless.

Thanks for sharing your insight.

So, is this any good or is it just memes?

Those concerns are so super niche, I doubt they'll be a big problem for Nintendo. I know it may not seem that way, but handheld PCs are not a widespread product.

If "normies" are able to buy a Playstation 5 after having bought a PS4, 3, 2 and 1, Then I think Nintendo is going to be just fine.

I think I made it clear why this reminded me of bad reddit posts.

You clearly have more knowledge about portable gaming laptops than I have. So my opinion might be based in ignorance. I am hardly whining though.

I feel like having several items (laptop plus controller) to carry around is a bigger dealbreaker than having a bigger device. Though I agree that an increase in size and weight can be problematic.

I also never wanted to imply that this community has no value and I am sorry I gave that impression.

That sure is one way to handle criticism. I'm not going to let you push me out of a community though.

I'm not being bitter. I just feel that the wording of the original post is pretty baity. You're unhappy with size and weight, and that is a valid point worth discussing. But making the jump to laptops? Hyperbolic engagement bait. I don't like it. If others do, that's fine. But I feel this trend of engagement bait is bad for platforms in general. And I want to keep the illusion up that lemmy is better than this.

If it isn't, then I still feel it's worthwhile to point out that discussions can be had without the hyperbole.

Aren't you missing the point? The portability and formfactor (controller) is what makes handheld pcs like this worthwhile. A laptop is a laptop, it's not really made for portable play and you'd need to lug around a controller.

I stopped using Reddit because of shitposts like these and here we are again.

My good friend Quentin had this idea to create an award for the best feet in anime and manga. He suggests we create a couple of categories to do this justice:

  • Best Toes
  • Best Soles
  • Best feet in socks
  • Best feet in shoes (be it sandals, highheels or other open types of shoe)

We suggest we keep the nominations open for a week, so until December 22nd. All anime and manga that came out during the calendar year of 2024 are eligible.

It’s Foot Friday and my friend Quentin has a few thoughts to share with you.

Ranma ½ is delivering once again with a great foot moment. Quentin wished he could be Tatewaki Kuno in this moment, because female Ranma has some of the best feet. However, the series tries to limit foot centric moments from the manga, like fight scenes. He does enjoy the great pacing and while not every joke in the show lands as well as it does in the manga, it still feels like a good adaptation. That art style does a lot for him.

In other foot related news, we got some hot granny feet in Dan Da Dan. “More like Dan dad amn! But fuck’em for not zooming in more. I want to see those soles more up close!”, he told me, while licking his lips. Though it is a feast for the toefans among the connoisseurs, he claims. The pacing has slowed down, but so far he really enjoys that series. I'd have to agree with him on that one - great show!

Quentin has started watching Blue Box too because there are bare feet in the intro for a fraction of a second. “There’s hope…” he told me with an empty stare.

Saw any good feet this week in Anime? Maybe even some Manga? He just can’t get enough.

My friend Quentin is a big fan of Ranma 1/2. He's read the manga and really enjoyed some feet. "While butchering some good feet moments, Nabiki's feet are still in prime condition", he told me. He went on to complain about Ranma's feet not being up to the standard of the manga when she's sitting in the tree in the second episode.

He went on about it for half an hour.

He also told me he'd cast Margot (??) as female Ranma and his good pal Sam (???) as the male Ranma and thought it very necessary for me to write this. Essential, even.

I keep telling him he should make his own account but he says he's too busy and I ask with what and all I get is a blank stare

My buddy Quentin asked me to ask on here if you have seen any good anime feet during the fall season so far?

Looking for recommendations! My personal pick would be Blooming Love (MangaPlus) for being a very wholesome and somewhat realistic romance manga featuring actual adults.

Asking for a friend.
