Trump is just itching for more BLM style protests to test his new powers out on. He appointed people just as eager. He wants a round two from 2020.

There is a reason the clearly losing war on drugs has continued for nearly a century. Instead of adjusting to more logical regulating of substances like we learned from alcohol prohibition, the war on drugs marches on.
If America is forced to accept austerity measures over our massive debt when the dollar is no longer fiat, regular people will be the ones who suffer sadly.
LGBTQ+ and immigrant fear can convince conservatives of about anything.
His policies are pandering for the populous, accommodating for the rich. Sadly his supporters enjoy being pandered to.
Our whole society is broken. We need a shift to collectivism. This rugged individualism bull shit idea our society has embraced is a recipe for weakness and collapse. It’s been happening since we moved away from the collectivist attitude popularized during world war 2. Humans are pack animals.
Trump seems to have the goal of destroying the US from all I can tell. Our economy and power are so dependent on our connections to the rest of the world and he is burning them all down. The US dollar gets replaced as the fiat currency we are wholly fucked and this dumb shit is how that happens.

Until billionaires are put in their place by an ideological unionization across society, nothing will change. Trump is just their brazen puppet and is totally replaceable. The oligarchy needs to be brought down and people need to learn to see through their manipulations before real change is possible. They have been working for this moment under a collective ideology for a century: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Money_(book)
The gerrymandering issues are part of a larger play. Billionaires have corrupted and corroded every avenue for positive change over the last 60+ years. They have created so much paranoia and distrust in the government that even when something positive happens, it’s twisted to the negative. Biden did make some positive plays and no one cared because the entire apparatus of social discourse is diluted by misinformation and disinformation. America is an oligarchy now. This book does a good job chronicling it up to 2016: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dark_Money_(book)
Fair. I was just thinking what the monetary system really needed was to be more obscure, cartoonish, energy intensive and unstable.
