The RTO mandate is being made by management - people with usually 15+ years experience or more.

They’ve only known office life. It’s the security blanket.

The people most affected are these RTO mandates are people who have only known hybrid or WFH, people with <6 years work experience.

This is a culture clash. Mgmt can’t manage without seeing people actually working.

Numerous studies have shown no significant productivity improvement by working in the office.

True :-) Unfortunately

What’s needed is a hurricane to hit Mar a Largo and flatten it. I’d bet FEMA would be resurrected the next day.

Go old school. The old internet was the local public library. The high street will thrive with new found customers. All the tech bros will need to find another sink for their funds - maybe they’ll take up philanthropy. I’m failing to see a downside here :-)

Collectively, you voted for this fascist. As a non-USian, I’ll just grab my popcorn and watch the drama unfold. Very similar to watching the Brexit debacle here in Europe.

So this is what freedom looks like? Where are all the 2nd Amendment fanboys when they’re needed? Probably sitting in the parents basement surfing the net for manga.

But it’s even worse than that. The US has to rollover about 9 trillion of debt in 2025. Someone has to buy these bonds and if Japan or China are reluctant, it likely means higher interest rates to be offered in order to secure the sale.
