Genuinely wondering myself. I know Waterfox is good, though.

Honestly, I agree.

That's not what communists and socialists mean, though.

Nobody deserves molestation, no matter how evil they are. That shit ruins you for life and I'd argue that I'm more evil after molestation 🤷‍♂️. Just commit infanticide against baby Hitler tbh

My girlfriend is amazing that way. She's as far-left as I am and I'm absolutely enamoured by her.

Not every country has a huge gun issue, so that didn't even pop into my mind. You're grasping at straws to avoid the fact that a large portion of sex workers experience literal violence. Not to mention, mass shootings are considered rather uncommon in most first-world countries. Intimate violence against sex workers, however? That's an expected part of the job.

No, but I have been sexually abused to the point where I quite literally am too traumatised to work at a job. I'd take sore joints and cleaning shit off of the walls over the things I've actually experienced.

Do you get traumatic flashbacks from being a janitor? Typically not.

Even when it is their dream, it often ends in trauma. Many people in the sex work industry have repeatedly stated how dangerous this line of work is. Support the workers, not the industry.

Yes, but porn is especially exploitative. Nobody's dream job is to expose their bodies for middle-aged men to gawk at and objectify. There's a huge difference between being a cashier and doing something that has a huge potential to traumatise and ruin you. Neither is ethical, but one is objectively way scarier than the other.

Edit: I'll take the downvotes, but it is a line of work that often ends in trauma. I'd take rude customers over traumatic flashbacks, even if I also agree that both are bad.

Other apps for Lemmy don't have advertisements.

I did the one-time payment to have no ads, but why are there ads by default on it?

Whilst Avi Lewis and Zohran Mamdani cannot be considered true leftists, they help open the gateways to slowly normalising leftism.
