I think the point is that there isn't a good enough reason to put internet in a car that negates the risk of it.

It is like adding lead to food. It's a cheap sweetener with no calories. You can argue that cheap sweeteners aren't important to you, but I don't think you can argue that it isn't a good reason. It just isn't a good enough reason to negate the risk.

The computer is constantly both bricked and not bricked. No way to know until you push the power button

Me talking at dinner: "Will you pass me the peas?" Cut to 5 people confused about whether I mean just one of them or if I want the whole table to all hand me the peas.

I get why they/them can be confusing because of the plural thing, but we are used to a quirky language. With a little practice, the tone and context clear up nearly all confusion. The rest is as easy or hard as what we have to do with an ambiguous "you."

PS Sorry to the "yous/yous guys" people. I am not trying to turn a blind eye to you obviously superior usage. It just really ruins my point.

I spend time highlighting how my past experience relates to the job and what I like about the place or job specifically. Depending on the vibe in the room I will add one quick, interesting, and nonoffensive thing about my personal life at the end. Basically recapping a cover letter but in a personable way because my writing is dry

No kind of expert on the idiomatic use, but the literal translation makes it feel like the monkey is going after something without a plan for where to land. I would expect it to indicate impulsivity

I gave blood routinely for years and years. Hours of my time on public transit and in the chair. Then, one time, I was sick and canceled because that is expected (nobody wants sick blood). They called me twice daily while I was sick to reschedule. Each time I said I would reschedule when I was healthy, but they didn't stop calling. It made me think of them as some telemarketing predators that are profiteering on my good will. True or not that feeling made me not go back.

I assumed that Gboard spell checker contacted servers constantly and have it switched off for whatever good that does. I recently tried enabling it to play with other options and noticed that it works when my phone is entirely offline.

Does anyone know if it works locally or does it just send a bunch of data out once I give it internet access again?

Bonus question: Does anyone know of a privacy respecting spell checker for android? It looks like Florisboard can work with Hunspell through Nuspell but not on Android. Is that right?

There is a difference between pain from an injury and muscle pain from excercise (DOMS). The former should be treated like a real injury where you give rest including very light exercise. Too much work could make the damage worse. The latter can be mostly ignored except for your own comfort.

Y'know, usually I get annoyed at adults when they try to randomly help me when I don't want or need help. Now, because of this, I am just going to act like they have as pure of an intent as a toddler and treat them accordingly.

I have been running lineageOS on my OnePlus 2. I liked it, but Lineage has stopped supporting my phone. There are two options that I have been able to find as replacements - postmarketOS and /e/OS. Any thoughts on those or other recommendation? Anything that gets security updates, is open source, and is functional meets my needs.
