It's the same experience no matter how I consume it personally but we're all different. I'm just an anxious person in general.

Gave up on bluesky but when I was there...if I opened the Catch Up feed it was fine scrolling down for awhile until you reach the average likes score on obese man dick pics and spread asshole shots mixed with furry inflation porn, vanilla adult cartoon, and then 1 naked lady.

So I disabled adult content because nobody tags anything pornographic properly so word filters were useless.

Nothing. Variety is the spice of life.

For the past 2 years I've been using concentrates via 510 carts in Canada, unscented/no flavour additives. Before that I used a dry vape with cheaper pre-ground flower, but short battery life and maintenance got annoying plus dosage control is worse. Smoked before legalisation.

Basically showing each other our favorites.

Very jealous lol.

...DVDs are cheaper overall. ...Most of it is garbage that I'll never watch, so there isnt much value in streaming for me anymore.

When going the legal route, can't argue with that logic fair enough.

...What games do you and your friends play mostly?

Mixed bag we're all variety gamers. Much like online gaming for us it's just an excuse to show up and talk. Lately it's been Sega Genesis emulation and getting through the harder USA version of Streets of Rage 3. A lot of shoot 'em up arcade titles via MAME. A ROM hack basically a combined version of all N64 Mario Party games into one. We were taking turns playing Death Stranding 2 in the winter. Xenogears before that, again with a hack this time just QoL features and a better English translation.

Thunder, but only because Lemmy doesn't support user tags. It's nice to not accidentally interact wirh a shit head because you forgot they were a shit head.

Otherwise the mobile website is perfectly fine without an app.

High on their own supply. Common human weakness, fuck I wish it weren't.

Over time my strategy flipped from HTPC being my old desktop builds to becoming the newest build in the house that I do everything fun on. Since my friends still visit for local multiplayer, I have a bunch of 8bitdo controllers and arcade sticks. I primarily use them too yep.

Trackpad keyboard is great for general navigation/web browsing. The joke is there's very little competition in this form factor. Also have a cushioned wood lap desk with a proper keyboard+mouse. Mouse heavy gaming. Quake Brutalist Jam 3, Nova Roma, HMM: Olden Era, and Toxic Commando I brought out the lap desk for most recently.

This is all Stremio's fault 😅.

What was your motivation to start buying DVD again? I went all in on digital a decade back after being the guy who owned every major (and some flops) console dating back to the 1970's for so long. Pirate all in, software emulation all in. I bought a NAS. I hate subscriptions and minimise those. Never sold off vinyl or my movie collection however. Still buy vinyl but no new movie purchases in said decade.

Lucky! The combination gives me anxiety attacks these days. I can have one or the other but not both idk why.

For the mystery "natural flavours," mass spectrometry was used. He got the essential oils and their quantities down: lemon oil, lime oil, tea tree oil, cinnamon oil, nutmeg oil, orange oil, coriander oil, and a natural pine–like flavour called fenchol.

Was still missing coca. Then he realised they were basically tea leaves and the mystery flavour was actually tannins, which are non-volatile, so using mass spectrometry tannins won't show up. He found wine tannins are commercially sold in a water–soluble powder form, and this was the key pretty much.

This mix then had to be heated to blend/mature the essential oils, and then left to sit for 24 hours before being used in the final recipe to exact match the flavour profile.

Sega Saturn emulator Yaba Sanshiro pushed a major update today for Android, changing the way it renders graphics to improve accuracy and increase the number of games compatible on it.

“The VDP1 core has been completely rewritten with compute shaders, greatly improving sprite rendering accuracy and compatibility for Sega Saturn games,” said the emulator’s developer, Shinya “DevMiyax” Miyamoto, on X.

"Sour" the original dev is also still actively involved. Mesen is a multi-system emulator for Windows, Linux, and macOS. It supports NES, SNES, Game Boy (GB/SGB/GBC), Game Boy Advance, PC Engine, SMS/Game Gear, and WonderSwan (WS/WSC).

MesenCE is a community-managed fork based on Mesen2, created to maintain and expand this emulator into the future.

Dev "Producdevity" provides more detail about the purpose and launch details via the r*ddit link here::

"This update is notable for having a high number of improvements to game performance and compatibility. Please read the change notes.

Additionally, for x86_64 devices (most desktop computers), this update requires a CPU which has SSE4.2 instructions, and it is likely that all future releases will also have this requirement. This feature is available in all modern CPUs released in 2011 or later. The few users who have hardware which doesn't support this instruction set can compile the emulator from source with the ENABLE_SSE42 CMake option disabled."

"Welcome back, ROM readers! Or maybe you should be welcoming me back? How does this work when I took an extra week off due to the flurry of gaming news last weekend? Maybe we each bust out a "nice to see you again" and get down to business.

This week's main focus is a bit different than usual — a personal reaction to a story I saw more than a week ago that'd been eating at me ever since. There's been a good bit of emulation news since last issue, but this felt like a more important topic to me than an extremely questionable PS3 Android emulator that somehow made its way onto the Play store (maybe I'll revisit this one next issue)."
