This looks like the kind of thing I'm looking for, thanks! Am trying it out.

I find the VLC Android app a bit odd for audio only. There's a lot of wasted space and I can't see the name or metadata very clearly.

I agree it works, and I didn't know about the shortcuts and will try that.

VLC is amazing, but it doesn't feel like the best tool for this.

Fast! Page isn't loading for me now in Chrome or FF (loads but the scroll will not).

Nice work! Quick typo on your website - should be, 'anything you can imagine', not 'anything you can image'.

I have a wired device sending HTTP POST updates very regularly (often more than one per second) and if I watch those arrive, they appear almost instantaneous. If the sending device used IP (or, more likely, had cached the lookup) I guess that would be fast too.

Good point about the MQTT persistence, cheers.

kasm looks good, thanks - it's definitely in the area; desktop as a service. I want something I can suspect and go back to, not sure if I can do that on kasm or not but a good tip, I'll check it out.

Great story, you've reminded me how much I enjoyed it. Thanks!

Am real. Or am?

I use Gboard and have been meaning to find an alternative, so this is a useful thread though it seems the concensus is there aren't really any.

What I'd love to do is completely remove any reference to stickers and gifs from the emojis selection but it's not possible. The emojis button can be removed from the keyboard, maybe it's time to go back to traditional ASCII.

Yes, you're right! I should point out that the things I like about Summit are not exclusive to Summit!

I also noticed Connect is showing images faster than it used to.

It's great to have lots of options and compare them side by side. Coming from RIF, it's not hard to get comfortable.

Connect, Jerboa, Voyager and Summit.

My favourite at the moment is Summit. It preloads images so feels snappier, and has a layout option of thumbnails on the right which I prefer.

I'd like to be able to turn off the swipe actions, my thumbs like to drift when I tap so that UX isn't optimal for me.~~ It's also not possible (that I've found) to change sort order.~~

I flick between apps, all the above are rapidly improving!
