Saving Private Ryan is my pick but just to add something new to the conversation I’ll add Catch Me if You Can for one of the best illustrated opening credits.

It isn’t the easiest thing, so many reviews are just self promotion. There are some forums and discords that are pretty reliable with good discussion but it’s mostly trial and error to find one that works well for you.

I think Phillip Seymour Hoffman was all CGI in the last Hunger Games movie.

If you aren’t already, you may want to use a solid state external drive or be sure that your router it allows the hard drive the sleep. I killed 3 external drives by doing this before I realized what the issue was.

I have mixed feelings about this one… I’m willing to try on other things for size but no promises

I’m not sure if it’s properly tested but we have a rear seat system for him, he was just such a good boy I let him sit in the front for a little bit on some back roads.

Yes, it disappeared completely. It was in the modem settings, I found it when disabling the router function.

For continued development and more content.

I notice that when I search for communities I see the same community has been created on multiple instances. I could subscribe to all of them but I’d much rather it be one larger community. Does any else see this as an issue or find this frustrating? If so, have you done anything that’s made it easier to deal with or have any ideas of how it could be improved in the future?

Personally, I’d love to see all the content merged and have the instance tagged on the post, similar to using flair on Reddit.

I think we’d see better adoption of the fediverse and Lemmy if this could be fixed because the largest complaint I see is the lack of content. There’s a lot of content here, it’s just spread across multiple instances. Just my two cents though…

Once I realized this I turned it off on my modem/router. I turned the router function off completely to be able to use my own equipment rather than the crap they give you.

Yep, that’s definitely me…

I think it’s really more about being an “early adopter” to something rather than following the mainstream. Tech enthusiasts tend to have more patience with minor inconveniences that come along with new technologies.

The average users will show up when their friends start using it and talk about it more. I still have people in my everyday life that don’t understand and don’t use Reddit, no chance they’ve even heard of the fediverse.

Toxic gatekeeping in communities.

I stepped away from Reddit after Apollo shut down in part out of spite and to stand against the crap from Reddit but mostly because Apollo made Reddit usable.
