Cortex Prime. Extremely hackable, nearly impossible to break. Powerful to reinforce flavor with mechanics (which is what I think you're going after). Simple mechanics (if you don't go ham with the Mods).

Also might want to consider having 2 referees. The party will split, and this would keep things moving.

Mark of the Odd games (Into the Odd, Mausritter, Into the Bronze, etc.). Extremely fast character creation, the rules so light they're almost not there, very few rolls, very deadly rolls.

This is an LLM bot. Look at its post history. It's using your answers to train itself to promote a product.

It's very expensive to be poor.

Zozer Games' excellent survival horror sci-fi RPG is available on BoH. Everything you need to run and play and more for under $10 or a full set of books for a little over $20.

And they have created a new bundle with extra goodies! Head over for the Hostile Hot Zones bundle to check it out! Going for $13 or $26 depending on choice.

Together with the Starforged bundle ($15, 3 days left), it's a good month to spend on sci-fi RPGs!
