Society: you're expected to get a second job because if we made things cheap enough to survive off 1 job, that would be communism

Also society: no, not like that. That's cheating.

I have an idea. I know it sounds far fetched, probably won't work but hear me out. What if they put large poles on ships and hung a big canvas from each of them? The wind could blow against these, generating free thrust and it can make the ships go faster. Wonder if anyone's ever tried that before.

This. Fucking this. Wobbling windows were around in the early days of Ubuntu's existence which was a long ass time ago and it was probably possible to get them even before that. Surely they've figured out a good way to make them work without fucking up your entire system by now.

Edit: oh, turns out KDE already has that option on my system.

Edit 2: Shit. How do you unfuck KDE? Asking for a friend.

I am in the market for a new keyboard. I really want something that is backlit, has a volume control and has the full layout with numpad. If I can't find something with those 3 features I'll just keep fighting with my shitty half working one because it's not that bad and there not being a better option will just motivate me into finding some new way to fix it probably. I kind of don't care if it's membrane or not, as long as it's not expensive. In my experience membrane keyboards last longer anyway.

There's a few cheapo options on Amazon that look promising but beyond that they only come with 2 out of 3 of the features I need. That's why I came here for advice.

I have a g910 thats old and starting to get all kinds of key bounce issues. I've replaced most of the switches and it's still doing it so it's either a circuit board issue or a chip issue.

Also, it's fucking bullshit that there's not a backlit mod for the ibm model m.

I like women. I like the shape and curves of the female body. I like boobs, I like asses, I like pretty vaginas. I also appreciate and am aroused by a nice cock. I'm however not otherwise attracted to the male body. I like femboys as long as they have a feminine-like shape and curves, as many of them do.

WTF is my sexual orientation?

I like vlc because I'm sexually aroused by traffic cones.

I can't afford a kid which is why I do condoms, birth control and anime to achieve 298% effectiveness. Every time I coom, there is a 1 in 3 chance someone's baby will spontaneously despawn from existence.

B all the way. I'll use my real estate and no taxes to figure out a way to make a fuck ton of $400/month apartments like it's 1990 to help the less fortunate/average person. I'll then use the no taxes to hopefully refine my business model model to the point of making my affordable apartment business more widespread across the entire country and just keep expanding until I get either assassinated or receive a Nobel Prize.

The best time to switch to Firefox was 19 years ago when it first came into existence. The 2nd best time is now.

Drank 3 beers and 1 shot of whiskey last night like a law abiding citizen instead of smoking weed. Holy fucking shit hangovers are worse than I remember. Fuck everyone fighting to keep weed illegal. They're all subhuman trash.

If rich people and corporations are going to fuck the internet so hard it's unusable, we should make a new internet. One with blackjack and hookers.

"It's just the price of your daily coffee"

I self brew my own value pack coffee because I'm poor. I even have a reusable metal mesh coffee filter insert so I don't have to buy coffee filters, that's how cheap I am.

Before you know it, it will be almost impossible to browse the internet normally without getting a visit from the feds for some bs reason. Guess we'll all be using the dark net for everything.

I'm helping a family member build a pc. He wanted to use Windows because "Linux can't play games" despite me having a perfectly good gaming laptop running Linux that runs all my games, even graphically intensive ones.

2 days later, no game has been played yet. We can't even get steam to start. I even installed Arch on a sata ssd I donated just to verify the pc parts actually work (took less than an hour). It took 1 and a half days to even get the Windows 11 installer to get past like the 3rd screen.

Fucking fuck. Dealing with all this fucking bullshit is far worse than not being able to play a few trashy anticheat pay 2 win games. The anti Linux circlejerk is real.

I have this Debian server that won't stop crashing. It crashes once every 2 or 3 days. Everything's up to date, the cpu is good and prime 95 never finds any problems. The ram is good and I've run every ram test there is and never found anything wrong. I just can't get it to stop crashing and it's driving me insane.

I used to have an arduino connected to the motherboard's reset jumper and then set up a bash script as a systemctl service that sent a signal to the arduino every 10 seconds and if the arduino didn't receive a signal after 30 seconds it forces a reboot. This doesn't even automate the process of restarting after a crash because too often, the server will crash just lightly enough that everything except that autorestart bash script service stops working so it won't reboot. It does double amount the time the server works without manual intervention though which is better than nothing but not good enough.

Other than just randomly installing different distros until I find one that doesn't do this (reinstalling an os and then setting all the server stuff back up is very time consuming), what can I do to troubleshoot/solve/stop or otherwise do anything about these crashes?
